The combat in Insomniac’s PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man game is incredibly fluid and satisfying. Whether you’re taking on smaller thugs or huge bosses from Spider-Man’s back catalog, you feel powerful, being able to leap, punch, and fire webs whenever you’d like. There are a few ways to use Spidey’s webs in combat, however, one of which being covering enemies and tying them up so that they cannot attack you. It can be very helpful when trying to give Spidey a bit of breathing room, so here’s everything you need to know about how to web up enemies in Spider-Man PS4.
There’s also a couple of different ways to web up enemies in the game. First of all, you can knock standard enemies down with a punch (by pressing square) and then tap R1 repeatedly until they’re on the floor and completely engulfed in a web.
They’ll be stuck to the floor, and therefore unable to attack you, allowing you to focus your attention on their bad guy mates.
Next, you can also stick enemies to walls in Spider-Man PS4. While they’re standing, fire web at a few times with R1, until they kinda look like a cocoon, then punch them (square) towards a wall so that they stick to it.
There’s also a gadget that you unlock early in the game that makes sticking enemies to the floor or wall much easier.
Finally, if you’d rather take the stealthy approach, you can do a stealth takedown of sorts by pressing square when you’re perched above them. It will web up the enemy on whatever you’re standing on so that they’re hanging above the action.
