Is Sonic Forces PS4 Pro Compatible?

Sonic and the gang is back again with a few new faces, including an edgy villain who has joined forces with Doctor Eggman. There’s a ton of mixing the old with the new in Sonic Forces as gameplay brings out features from both classic Sonic games and more modern ones. As Sonic continues his run through the modern era of gaming, it’s more important than ever that he looks good while doing it. Gameplay isn’t enough to win fans over anymore. If Sonic hopes to keep up with other classic gaming mascots like Mario who have received incredibly impressive facelifts when it comes to graphics, the classic character will need to follow suit.

So does Sonic Forces allow everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog to shine when compared the vibrant visuals of his competitors? Absolutely. In this title, Sonic is racing through a fun collection of different environments and you’ll have the opportunity to see them all in a beautiful 1080p resolution. If you want to step things up a notch, however, Sonic Forces will also be compatible with the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X. You just need to keep in mind that just because a game is compatible with PS4 Pro it doesn’t mean playing it on the upgraded console will make much of a difference. While Sonic Forces is technically enhanced on the PS4 Pro, it’ll take quite a bit of staring and comparing to see a real difference in the visuals when compared to the base model on the PS4. The PS4 version of the game is pretty enough for the average gamer and it’s an improvement over the standard Xbox One version of the game that renders at 720p.
