Sims 4 Strangerville is here and for $20 you can have a more story focused experience than what you’re used to in previous sims DLCs and expansions. It might not be the longest but it’s certainly… strange. If you’re here, you’re probably wondering how to get rid of the infected trait in Sims 4 Strangerville. Here’s what you need to know.

First off, you get the infected trait by either eating the Bizarre Fruit, or through other means throughout the story. It’s kind of hysterical actually since you run around like a madman, some kind of possessed Naruto if you will, but you probably don’t want it to last forever.

Getting rid of the infected trait though involves playing through the story of Sims 4 Strangerville and collecting a few key items. Namely the Hazmat Suit and the Filter which will provide you the protection you need. You’ll get both of these items by simply playing through everything as you go.

Warning: Light spoilers ahead, if you don’t want to know how to cure the infected trait as it relates to the end of the plot Sims 4 Strangerville, turn away now.

Eventually, when you progress far enough in solving the mystery, you’ll be able to use the machine in the downstairs area of the secret lab to construct experimental vaccines with five spore clusters and one Bizarre Fruit each.

With these, you’ll need to use them on sims that are currently possessed (AKA people who are running around like weirdos). Select them, and choose to try out the experimental vaccine.

After experimenting on three sims (one vaccine for each of them), you will be able to learn how to isolate how it worked, and then are able to construct the true cure vaccine. Drink that, and you’ll lose the infected trait once and for all. Sorry everyone else!

That does it for how to get rid of the infected trait in Sims 4 Strangerville. If you’re looking for more on The Sims, check out our massive collection of the best Sims 4 mods you can’t play without.
