How to Get Money (Sen) Fast in Sekiro

Recommended Videos

While Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice may not have the same experience point system as a Souls game, it still has a currency that you’ll need to get a lot of, if you want to be able to buy items and keep your stocks up. Known as Sen, money is a valuable resource, so here’s how to get money (Sen) fast in Sekiro.

Luckily, there are a few pretty good ways of getting Sen in Sekiro. We’ll help go over each one. Make sure to keep in mind that whenever you die in Sekiro you’ll lose half of all your Sen, unless the Unseen Aid feature activates for you.

Killing Enemies

The easiest of these ways is to simply kill enemies, as each one will drop a little bit of money. After killing an enemy, or group of enemies, make sure to hold down the square (X) button as this will let you loot all enemies that are nearby, drawing in any Sen or items lying around.

The best idea if you want to get a lot of money is to find an area with a bunch of basic enemies that you can grind for a while, such as the area past the first mini-boss in the Ashina Outskirts. Kill all the enemies, loot them, then return to a Sculptor’s Idol and do it all over again.

Each time you rest at the idol it’ll respawn all enemies, and they’ll all drop Sen once again upon their death. This makes it easy to rack up a bit of money without putting yourself in too much danger, as long as you make sure you’re still being careful with basic enemies, as they

Light Coin Purses

As you explore the world of Sekiro you’ll find a wealth of different items, including Coin Purses. These basically function exactly the same as the usable Soul items you could find in Dark Souls, as each one grants you a set amount of Sen. The even better news is that the Sen you get from purses won’t be taken away when you die.

While you can use these purses at any time, it’s a better idea to just save them until you find yourself really needing to buy something special, or use Sen to do something like pay for information.

If you rely on the other methods to get Sen, the Light Coin Purses will ensure that you have that extra little kick when you need it.

The Memorial Mob

The final way we’ve found of making money is by selling items to the Memorial Mob, vendors that are sprinkled across the world of Sekiro. We have a guide detailing the vendors, but the very first one you’ll find is right by Ashina Gate.

You can sell any extra items you have to the vendors for a bit of Sen, but just be careful you don’t sell anything you want or need, as it’ll be tough to get it back. Any kind of healing items you’ll absolutely want to make sure to keep, as you’ll definitely be using them.

Again, grinding Sen off of enemies is going to be your best bet for getting money quickly, but you can use the other two methods to help pad out your purse.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get money (Sen) fast in Sekiro. For even more tips, tricks, and info make sure to search Twinfinite, and take a look at our Sekiro guide wiki.
