Is There New Game Plus in Returnal?

In short, there is no New Game Plus in Returnal, simply because the game never really does end. Sure, you can go about the six different biomes and kill the bosses, unlocking new gear and gadgets for use, but the game is meant to be repeated over and over again.

Broken up into two distinct sets of three biomes each, you will progress from Act 1 to Act 2 as you complete the first three biomes and beat the bosses. However, once you have finished the latter three biomes, you will be thrown back into the start of the game for you to start a new run.

You will keep whatever weapons you have unlocked as future options, the Ether you gathered is still yours, and the gear that helps traversal is still there. Everything else, however, resets. While you do not get the traditional New Game Plus experience in Returnal, in essence, there is still a small element of that in play.
