How to Unlock All New Operators in Rainbow Six Siege Grim Sky

Today, Ubisoft officially launched Operation Grim Sky, the 10th expansion for their tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege. The third major content update for Year 3 of the game introduces two new operators, Clash and Maverick, as well as changes to Hereford Base and Consulate. While the latter will update automatically once you start up the game, the two new operators won’t be available for everyone.

The easiest way to unlock Clash and Maverick, if you don’t want to spend time grinding, is via purchasing they Year 3 Pass for $29.99. Both operators will unlock automatically once you load the game. In order to see and equip them, just head to the operators tab, which is located at the top of the main menu in the center. Alongside this, the pass includes every operator for Year 3 thus far, numerous discounts, and an Alpha Pack Boost.

If you don’t mind the grinding for Clash and Maverick though, you’ll need to earn enough renown or R6 credits to afford them. Each operator 25,000 renown or 600 R6 Credits. Renowned can be earned in various ways. The simplest way is to keep playing matches. The better you do, the more renown you will earn each match. Make sure that you’ve completed each of the tutorial missions as well, as %100 each mission will earn you a large amount of renown. Once you have successfully earned enough, head to the operators tab in the menu screen, then choose the unlock operator button at the top. Once you do, it will take you to a screen that features all of the operators you’ve yet to unlock. From there, just pick Clash or Maverick and select “Unlock with renown.”
