Rainbow Six Siege is the multiplayer tactical shooter released by Ubisoft in 2015. Since launch, the game has seen a bunch of new content, something which has steadily grown the player base over the years. It is currently in its year 3 season of content, signaling the arrival of new DLC and adjusted price points for new players. Just like many other online multiplayer titles, Rainbow Six Sieges has a bunch of different skins for players to customize their characters with. Here’s what you need to know to get the rare, Elite skins in the game.

Alpha Packs – How to Get Elite Skins in Rainbow Six Siege

Last year, Ubisoft added Alpha Packs to Rainbow Six Siege which are randomized loot drops for cosmetic content. One of the possible cosmetic items available in these packs are Elite skins. Elite skins are extremely rare and valuable and have recently been added to a new form of in-game pack. Alpha Packs are earned simply by playing the game, bought using Renown points. Ubisoft has stated that it plans to offer the option to purchase Alpha Packs with real money in the future. There are over 1000 cosmetic items on offer via Alpha Packs, with over 30 Elite skins.

Outbreak Packs – How to Get Elite Skins in Rainbow Six Siege

Outbreak Packs, which arrived along with the Outbreak expansion to Rainbow Six Siege, also allow players the possibility of obtaining rare Elite skins. Players receive four complementary Outbreak Packs upon purchasing the DLC and logging on sometime between March 6, 2018, and April 3, 2018, marking the only way they can be obtained for free. Additional Outbreak Packs must be purchased using the game’s R6 Credits, which are purchased with real money. Outbreak Packs cost 300 R6 Credits each which, depending on which quantity they are bought in, puts them at between $1 and $3 each. They are accessible via the in-game store tab.

It’s also worth noting that if players have the Rainbow Six Siege Year 3 Pass, they will receive a 10% price reduction on Renown and R6 Credits.

After this event concludes, the Outbreak Packs and therefore the Elite skins associated will be unavailable, meaning Elite skins will only be obtainable via Alpha Packs.
