Is Pyre PS4 Pro Compatible?

Recommended Videos

Pyre sends players on a journey with a band of exiles as you try and help to lead them to freedom. You’ll need to navigate the weird and wonderful characters in the world, and compete in 3 vs. 3 pyre-dousing battles. It’s all very dramatic, but it sure is fun. Oh, and did we forget to mention that it’s filled with vibrant colors and dons a fantastic art style? So, with Pyre just around the corner for both PC and PS4, owners of Sony’s supercharged PS4 Pro may be wondering if the beautiful, stylish game makes use of the system’s extra power.

Well, it turns out that Pyre actually is PS4 Pro compatible. While details are somewhat scarce, Supergiant Games did confirm that the game runs natively in 4K on PS4 Pro. Furthermore, the game runs at a buttery smooth 60 frames per second, too, meaning you’ll have a fantastic-looking experience when playing on the PS4 Pro.

When playing the game on our own Pro, we can vouch that the game looks and, for the most part, runs perfectly. We did have a random framerate hiccup at one point when the action got too much, but this appeared to be an isolated incident.
