Psychonauts 2: How to Get the Emotional Baggage Behind the Picture

Psychonauts 2 is rife with collectibles to be found, including vaults, figments, and upgrades, but it’s the emotional baggage collectible behind a picture that has been confusing the most players. This particular emotional baggage is a suitcase, hidden behind a picture of some teeth in Loboto’s Labyrinth. This is the first emotional baggage you find in the game, after pairs with the suitcase baggage tag you find earlier in the level. This guide will tell you everything you need to know to get the emotional baggage behind the picture in Pyschonauts 2.

There are a grand total of ten emotional baggage collectibles in Loboto’s Labyrinth: five baggage items and a tag for each. All of the tags can be collected on your initial playthrough of the area, but the baggage itself is another story.

The final baggage to be found in the labyrinth is the suitcase behind the picture of the teeth, and if you’re running through this area for the first time, there’s unfortunately nothing that can be done to grab it. To do so requires the Pyrokinesis power.

The picture itself can be found in the conference room prior where you save Sasha, and you’ll be able to return here later with your new power via the Collective Unconsciousness. Pyrokinesis is unlocked through natural story progression, and will be given to you automatically later in the game, so just keep playing until it’s introduced. This power will allow you to burn flammable items around you. Hold the assigned button while hovering over an item, and if it can be burned, you should see a sharp orange outline surround it. Release to light it aflame.

As you may have guessed, the picture of the teeth is flammable. To get back to it, you need to go to the Collective Unconsciousness, which is the central hub for reaching all worlds. After completing the Operation Lady Luctopus missions, Sasha will grant you permission to use her Brain Tumbler in her lab, the machine that allows you to jump back to previous brains. Interact with it, then find the door that leads back to Loboto’s Labyrinth. Make your way back to the conference room and light that poster up. Doing so will reveal the suitcase for you to grab.

  1. Leave it for now. Advance through the game until you unlock the Pyrokinesis ability, earned naturally.

  2. Play past the Operation Lady Luctopus missions, after which Sasha will give you permission to use her Brain Tumbler in her lab.

  3. Interact with the Brain Tumbler to enter the Collective Unconsciousness, the central hub to access all previous levels.

  4. Find the Loboto’s Labyrinth door and make your way back to the conference room with the picture.

  5. Target the picture and use your Pyrokinesis power to burn it away, exposing the suitcase for you to grab.
