How to Use Pokemon Bank in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon

Recommended Videos

When Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon initially launched, they were notably absent of connectivity to the Pokemon Bank app. Presumably, this was done in an effort to encourage players to utilize their newly discovered party members, as opposed to simply importing all of their overpowered veteran monsters.

With update 1.4, however, Pokemon Bank is now compatible with the newest titles in the series, coinciding with Poke Transporter’s update that integrates functionality with the virtual console versions of Pokemon Gold and Silver. Using the Bank is as easy as ever – simply start up the app with a compatible Game Card inserted (or downloaded on the 3DS), and you will be able to access all of the Pokemon that have been stored there.

Take note that once a Pokemon has been withdrawn to a generation 7 game, it will no longer be compatible with Pokemon X or Y. Similarly, Pokemon from the virtual console games are only available to the Sun and Moon family of titles. And of course, all transfers done via the Poke Transporter app are a one way trip only.
