How to Hatch Eggs – Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Hatching eggs is a great way to get Pokemon with the base stats that you want. While some players will use the Pokemon that they find in the wild to battle their friends, others will go to serious measures to ensure that their team’s stats are strong. One way of doing so is through egg hatching, but first, you’ll need to know how to hatch an egg.

Hatching eggs in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire works just like in any other Pokemon game; you walk a bunch of steps until it hits a certain number and the egg hatches. While you can do this the ol’ fashioned way, there’s a couple of tricks to make your egg hatching go much more quickly.

First, you’ll want to find yourself a Pokemon that has either Flame Body or Magma Armor and then place it in your party. This will halve the number of steps it takes to hatch an egg in your party.

Once you’ve got the steps required down, it’s time to take advantage of a handy loop at the Battle Resort. You can only get to the Battle Resort once you’ve defeated the Elite Four and finished the Episode Delta section of the story. When you get there, simply make sure you’re directly down from the Daycare Lady and then hold left or right until you run into a wall. Then, hold Up and your character should start going around in circles, looping around the island.

You don’t have to touch anything either, so you can go off and eat some food, come back and with a bit of luck that egg you’ve been waiting for should have hatched. That’s all there is to some quick and easy egg hatching in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
