HOW TO GET NEW EEVEELUTIONS – POKEMON GO

Recommended Videos

The day has finally arrived! A ton of Gen 2 Pokemon have been added into Pokemon GO, and players everywhere are jumping in to catch them all.

The new Pokemon include new Eeveelutions for you to attempt to get. As was the case with generation one Eeveelutions (Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon), you can call your Eevee a specific name that ensures your evolution will be the one you are hoping for.

To evolve your Eevee in Umbreon in Pokemon GO, name your Eevee ‘Tamao’ before you evolve. Once you have done so, press evolve and your Eevee will turn into Umbreon.

To evolve your Eevee in Espeon in Pokemon GO, you need to name your Eevee ‘Sakura’, then evolve to turn it into Espeon. Keep in mind that this trick usually only works the first time.

The other way of getting these Pokemon when evolving your Eevee is to simply evolve and hope that the result is the one you want. If you’re looking to grab the new Eeveelutions, we really recommend just using the name trick.

Now that you know how to evolve you Eevee into the new Eeveelutions you want, be sure to check our Pokemon GO wiki guide for more tips, tricks, and guides.
