How to Play Petra Deathmatch Map in Overwatch

Recommended Videos

The latest Overwatch Anniversary event brings a host of new content to the game, including an all-new deathmatch map. It’s called Petra, and its modeled after an excavated city, featuring both indoor and outdoor zones. The level is a multi-tiered setup with broken bridges. Jump pads make traversing these different levels a breeze, boosting players into the air without having to climb or use special abilities. The overall design of the map’s aesthetic is based on the region of Southern Jordan.

With all the buzz surrounding this latest content drop, you’ll no doubt be wanting to get involved, especially if you’re a fan of the deathmatch gameplay mode. Thankfully, getting started with a Petra game is pretty easy.

To play a round on the new map, access the Competitive Menu and choose the free-for-all deathmatch option. The free-for-all-deathmatch games will be played on either the Petra or Chateau maps, so there’s a little bit of luck involved in playing the new deathmatch map in Overwatch. This mode can also be accessed via the Arcade menu for those unable to access the Competitive menu just yet.

That’s everything you’ll need to know about how to play the Petra Deathmatch in Overwatch. For more useful information and guides on the game, check out our wiki page.
