At the very beginning of the game, you’ll be given the option to select your gender. Simply choose whichever gender you want and your character will assume that throughout your playthrough.

Unfortunately, you then won’t be able to change gender for the remainder of your first playthrough.

You can change gender in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows when you’ve beaten the game once. This unlocks the option for you to flick between male and female at your will.

It’s worth noting that changing gender does nothing to affect the gameplay in One Punch Man. It’s just a cosmetic change to help you immerse yourself within this bright, vibrant, and eccentric anime world.

Outside of changing your gender, the only other noticeable difference you’ll spot is that the male and female characters wear different clothing. The female character wears a red top, while the male character wears a plain white tee.
