Fall Damage – No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

No Man’s Sky throws a lot of threats at players, but at least you’re a space explorer, right? That means you can go to other planets, deal with weird gravity, and never have to worry about falling so far that you kill yourself. At least, that’s what most people would think. It turns out that you fall like a rock in No Man’s Sky, and when you hit the ground, it hurts… a lot.

When exploring the different geographies that No Man’s Sky throws at you, you’re going to want to be extra careful about cliffs, canyons, steep mountains, and anything else that you may be able to fall off of. Much like Geralt in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the player character really can’t survive a tough spill. But, unlike Geralt, you won’t just instantly die after a fall. If you have armor, that will absorb all of the damage depending on the height.

But, if your armor is low and you fall while fighting, then you may just die, and that’s not how you wanna go out during a huge space expedition. So when you’re out there charting the stars, remember to use your Jetpack.
