Nier Replicant: How to Change to Japanese Voices

Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139 is a remaster of the original Nier Replicant that released exclusively in Japan back in 2010. Alongside the visuals and iconic soundtrack being touched up to feel at home on 2021’s current generation consoles, the voice acting cast has also seen a handful of changes from the original. By default, your game will automatically use the English voice language, but it’s possible to change to the Japanese voice track in Nier Replicant if that’s more your thing.

How to Change to Japanese Voice Track in Nier Replicant

You can change to the Japanese voice track in Nier Replicant from the Main Menu before loading up your saved game (or starting new).

Select the ‘Options’ tab and then go to ‘Game Settings’ from within here. Now choose the ‘Language’ option, and ‘Voice Language.’ Here, you can freely change between English and Japanese voices by selecting the option you’d prefer.

Which Voice Language option you choose in Nier Replicant is entirely down to personal preference. Some prefer the Japanese voice track with subtitles in their native language, while others prefer to have the English voice actors instead.

We’d suggest trying out both and seeing which one you prefer, as you can freely switch between them from the main menu whenever you want.

That’s all you need to know on how to change to the Japanese voice track in Nier Replicant. For more tips, tricks and guides, head over to our wiki, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
