NieR: Automata – Fast Travel

Recommended Videos

Unfortunately, it’ll be awhile before you can unlock the fast travel feature in NieR: Automata. When you first unlock the game’s open world, the only form of fast travel you have access to is moving between the Resistance Camp and the Bunker. Simply head to the access point in the Resistance Camp and select the Transport option to go back to the Bunker. However, you will not be able to warp to other access points you’ve already unlocked.

The full fast travel feature will be made available after you’ve progressed through the main story and defeated the boss encounter in the city underground. Upon leaving the caverns, you’ll find Jackass at the entrance with a brand new access point and an installed transporter. From here on out, you’ll be able to warp quickly to any other access point you’ve unlocked previously. Before that point, however, you’ll have to get around either by walking on foot or using Animal Bait to ride around on a moose. Once you do unlock fast travel, completing the side quests in the game will become much easier.
