Ni No Kuni 2 has oodles of content to enjoy, from the dungeon crawling of its Dreamer’s Mazes to dozens and dozens of side quests to recruit new citizens and expand your kingdom. Many of these recruitment side-quests ultimately boil down to fetching different items and resources, many of which are difficult to find. One such rare resource you’ll need are Spools of Grass Green thread, needed for a side quest that unlocks Pi Chi the Skillful Seamstress. Luckily, there are few different ways to find this resource.

The first is to complete a different quest called ‘The Trials of Boddly.’ This is a side-quest during Chapter 4 in which you’ll need to deliver different items to NPCs around the town of Goldpaw. In the process, Evan is tasked with tracking down two Unit Commanders. The second Commander, Min Ti, is especially important in finding Grass Green Thread because he’ll give you the resource as a reward for his own task.

Min Ti can be found near the Dreaming Chamomile Inn. From the Inn, turn right, go across the bridge and up the two sets of stairs. Once you’ve reached the top, walk forward until you see an alleyway on the left. Min Ti is at the end. He’ll task you with finding some sleep-be-gone, which is an item that can be purchased from most item stores. Returning with the amount Min Ti has requested is rewarded with the 5 Spools of Grass Green Thread you’ll need.

If you can’t be bothered with all of that, you can exchange Tokens of Gratitude at Swift Solutions for Spools of Grass Green Thread. The resource can also be found in the northeast corner of Rolling Hills region of the world map (near Ding Dong Dell and Auntie Martha’s Cottage). Enemies around here sometimes drop it too.
