Updating NBA 2K19 is just like updating any other game you would have in your library, whether you’re playing on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One. Some updates may be prompted by the game itself, however, if you want to manually check and perform any updates that might be available for NBA 2K19, here is how to do that.

How to Update NBA 2K19 on PlayStation 4

First, go to your notifications to see if there are any actively downloading updates or recently completed ones. If you have automatic downloads enabled, you might see one already going when you start up your PlayStation 4. Just let that process play out and the game will eventually be fully updated. If you want to manually check and download, click the options button on the game’s icon on your PS4’s menu. That will give you a bunch of well, options, for the game. One of them is Check for Update. Click that, and if there any updates you need to download, you’ll be able to do so from there.

How to Update NBA 2K19 on Xbox One

The first thing you want to do is go to your Games & Apps section from the home button on your Xbox One controller. Again, in there, you might see that the game is currently or has recently been updated. If not, and you want to check for yourself, go to the Updates section from Games & Apps, and if NBA 2K19 is there, you can press the Menu button to enable the option to download the update. The Xbox One tends to need manual updates more often even with auto downloads on for whatever reason. So definitely double check if you’re not 100% sure you have the latest version.

How to Update NBA 2K19 on Nintendo Switch

The Switch does not have automatic downloads of any kind. You can update NBA 2K19 on the Switch by simply starting the game, and the Switch will usually prompt you if you need an update. If that isn’t doing the trick for whatever reason, press the Plus button on the icon at the home screen and from there you can select Software Update, which will check and see if there’s one waiting for you or not. You can download it from there if so.

How to Update NBA 2K19 on PC/Steam

Steam is pretty good about automatically downloading updates for you provided you Steam running. To check on the progress of all your pending updates, go to your Library, and you can see what games have updates pending or are already currently downloading them.
