This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

War is inevitable in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord; as part of the main questline, you’ll become engaged in a conflict with a rival nation(s). You’re also likely to ruffle somebody’s feathers under your own steam at some point, too. Luckily, if you suddenly have a change of heart and want a ceasefire it’s not too hard to achieve. Here’s how to make peace in Mount & Blade 2.

How to Make Peace in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord

If you have progressed far enough in Mount & Blade 2 to start your own Kingdom, you’ll have noticed that the option to propose peace is greyed out and unavailable from the Kingdom menu. That’s a big problem considering how many rival kingdoms are vying for your blood.

But don’t fret because there is a way to make peace –it just takes longer than it otherwise might if Mount & Blade 2 wasn’t in Early Access and all its features were working properly.

As of right now, to make peace you’ll need to travel to a rival castle/city and speak with a lord (any will do — hold left Alt to find leaders from the world map) from which faction you’re wanting to make peace with. When you enter a conversation with them, there’s an option to “discuss something else” and then after that an option to discuss peace terms.

You’ll need plenty of coin to settle your differences, so make sure you’ve got enough in the coffers — as in, around 70,000 Denar.

Once you’ve paid up, no more questions will be asked and you’ll no longer be at war.
