How to Gesture & Emote in Monster Hunter World

Recommended Videos

Monster Hunter World is the latest installment in the action role-playing franchise and it introduces a handful of new features to the series. Players can hunt a slew of dangerous monsters, be it alone or with friends. Creating a hunting party is a great way to hunt, especially if everyone is cooperating and actually getting things done. To help you with the communication side of things, there’s always voice chat. But you can always use an emote or gesture to get the message across just as easily.

While voice communication is one way to converse with your party, Monster Hunter World also includes some quirky gestures and emotes you can use in the field. These actions help breathe life into your avatar and act as great icebreakers before any major hunt. To use a gesture, simply press Options and look for the Communications tab. From there, just use the d-pad to select from a preset of silly gestures.

There are a good number of emotes to choose from, such as waving and taunting in Monster Hunter World. Simply head to the same menu, and choose the emote you want to share with your fellow hunters. After all, there’s no better way to bond with your hunting party than by sharing a group cheer emote after taking down a Rathalos! Aside from these emotes and gestures, there are a lot of other nifty features hidden within the game.
