How to Fast Travel in Monster Hunter World

Recommended Videos

The wilderness of Monster Hunter World is big and vast. And while you might be content just exploring the lands on foot, sooner or later you’re going to find yourself wishing for a fast travel option. Thankfully, that option does exist in the game.

Monster Hunter World will only allow you to fast travel to camps, which means that you need to unlock new camps on the map for them to serve as warp points. As you progress through the main quest, you’ll gradually start to set up and unlock new camps across the map. Once you do so, open up your map and then use the analog stick to hover over one of the camp icons. Select it, and you’ll be able to fast travel there instantly. Do note that you won’t be able to do this while you’re engaged in combat.

When you’re out on an expedition, or if you don’t have a quest selected, you can quickly get to the wilderness from the resource center by opening up your map, selecting the World Map, and then head to one of the wild areas you’ve unlocked. Similarly, you can travel straight back to Astera from the map when you’re not in combat.
