Using Double Attacks in Monster Hunter Stories 2

While the combat difficulty in Monster Hunter Stories 2 isn’t all that high, the combat system itself is actually pretty involved, with a lot of mechanics to get familiar with. For instance, you can pull off Double Attacks with your Monsties in battle to deal tons of damage if you play your cards right.

Double Attacks are essentially more powerful attacks that will automatically trigger if you and your Monstie use the same attack type in a single turn. Of course, this requires some careful planning as all Monsties are inclined to use a certain attack type, and that might not always be favorable depending on the type of enemy you’re facing.

That said, if your enemy is weak to Speed attacks, it’s always a good idea to swap in a Monstie that loves using Technical attacks. When both you and your Monstie go for Technical attacks in the same turn, you can trigger a Double Attack that not only does a ton of damage, but also fills up your Kinship gauge.

Once the Kinship gauge is maxed out, you can ride your Monstie in battle and gain access to more powerful skills that will really give you an edge in the fight. In addition to that, using Double Attacks and working well with your Monstie will also give you a higher reward rank at the end of the fight.

That’s all you need to know about how to use Double Attacks in Monster Hunter Stories 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
