How to Change Character Appearance in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate

Recommended Videos

While Monster Hunter World has made all the headlines this year, the series is returning to Nintendo once again with Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate on the Switch. There’ll be plenty of hunting, crafting, gathering, and exploring to do with Generations Ultimate, which is actually an updated and enhanced port of Monster Hunter Generations on Nintendo 3DS. As is the tradition with the series, you’ll be building your very own hunter, and choosing a Felyne buddy to take along with you on your adventure. Of course, once you’ve edited your character, you might want to change their clothing or even their appearance later on, and luckily Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate lets you do just that.

Don’t worry about that ugly character you accidentally created at the start of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, as you can change most aspects later on. To change your appearance, you’ll first need to head to your hut in the village you start in. Find the chest inside of your hut and interact with it, and you’ll have the option to alter your appearance. You can change your hairstyle, eye color, and more features. Keep in mind, however, that the one thing you can’t change is your character’s gender, as this has to stay consistent from your initial choice.

Depending on the armor and clothing you wear, your character’s appearance may not even matter all that much if their face is covered. Feel free to try different things out if you want though, and create a handsome hunter or a horrible monster, depending on what you want.

That’s all you need to know about changing your character appearance in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. For more on the game, make sure to take a look at our ever-growing wiki guide.
