How to Complete the Naming the Dead Task in Mass Effect: Andromeda
Naming the Dead is one of the more laborious and lengthy tasks you’ll come across in Mass Effect: Andromeda. You’ll need to head back to Eos and find and scan the dead bodies of colonists on Eos.
In order to get Naming the Dead to pop in your Journal, you’ll first need to find one of the deceased colonists. Once you do, you’ll then have to embark on a lengthy adventure across the planet’s surface. It’s worth noting that you’re best attempting Naming the Dead once all of the radiation has cleared off Eos. Otherwise, you may have some problems reaching some of the bodies.
For the first body, you’ll need to find in Naming the Dead, make your way to the settlement ruin called Promise and head towards the buildings that are right next to the circular structure. Just behind these buildings, you should find the body of Theo J. Harwell. Scan it and be ready to move onto the next one.
Next up in our Naming the Dead quest, you’ll want to head south from where you found Theo’s body and you’ll eventually hit Site 2 – Resilience. Make sure you’re on the lower level of the site and look for a large white circular container with some Kett barriers nearby on the north side of the camp. The body of Gordanus Trenitus should be on the ground between two of these.
Stick around Resilience and move south. Make your way up to the upper level and stairs around the buildings here. As you reach the top of the steps, take a look on the ground to your right and you should see the body of Thysar Ylar. Scan it and get ready to move on. Make your way towards the east exit out of the Resilience site and you’ll find the body of Porter M. West literally in the middle of your way.
Now that we’ve grabbed all the bodies from here, you’re going to want to make your way to the northern monolith on Eos. It’s about 11 o’clock if you use the lake in the middle of this section of the map as a guide. It’s also the first monolith you went to where you met Peebee, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to track down. The body here is on the west side of the monolith on the floor right by the track leading through. The name is Tegan C. Avante.
We’re almost there now. For this one, you’ll want to head all the way back to your settlement site and head east towards the central monolith. Look for the ammo and health crates on the west side of the monolith. On the ground, by some cover, you’ll find three bodies. Scan the only one you can to add Amira S. Pavlov to the list.
Finally, make your way to the Kett facility to the west of the southernmost monolith on Eos. It’s the place where you met Drak. Make your way into the room where you met him and look for the autopsy table in the off chute to the north. Anton T Darin is on a medical table of sorts in here. Scan him to round out Naming the Dead.
With all of the bodies scanned, Naming the Dead will finally be completed and you’ll be given your rewards. For more tips, tricks, and information on Mass Effect: Andromeda, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
