How to Increase Item Limit in Mass Effect: Andromeda

Recommended Videos

When you first start out in Mass Effect: Andromeda, Ryder is allowed to carry up to 50 items no matter how much they weigh. This is fine since most materials stack, but there are items that don’t stack and these can quickly eat up inventory space. Weapons, armor, mods, new consumable types, new material types, and more can quickly cut that 50 down to zero. You an unload stuff at vendors or by taking things apart, but that’s not always possible while out exploring, and nobody wants to head back to their ship in the middle of fun. It’s a good thing there’s a way to up the maximum item limit to give you some wiggle room, though!

As you progress through Mass Effect: Andromeda, you’ll earn Andromeda Viability Points (AVP) that can be used to unlock Cryo Pods, releasing more people into the Nexus and earning some useful perks for Ryder. Under the Commerce category in these pods is one called Trade Capacity. You can unlock it once you have AVP since there are no pre-requisites to it and it raises your item limit from 50 to 65.
