As a live service action-RPG, Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers features plenty of customization options that allow players to set up their heroes according to their preference. That includes different outfits, emotes, and other cosmetics, which can be either purchased from the marketplace or worked towards as part of an in-built progression system specific to each hero. Here’s how to get challenge cards and what they do in Avengers Game.
How to Get Hero Challenge Cards & What They Do in Avengers Game
As alluded to above, Hero Challenge Cards are essentially Marvel’s Avengers version of a battle pass. It’s a premium progression system that allows players to earn resources, units, credits, and cosmetics for completing in-game challenges across 40 different tiers per hero.
Thankfully, Square Enix isn’t charging players for the game’s six base hero’s Challenge Cards. Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Captain America, and Ms. Marvel all have their Premium Hero Challenge Card track activated for free from the jump.
However, post-launch Heroes (added to the game for free over the coming week) such as Hawkye and the newly revealed Kate Bishop will come with a premium track that must be unlocked for 1,000 Credits, which equates to $10 of real-world money.
Regardless of whether you’re working towards a Hero Challenge Card complimentary with the base game or one you purchase later, its Rewards are earned in the same way: by accumulating Challenge Points for completing a rotating set of daily and weekly challenges.
From the Character Menu of the game, tab over to Challenge Cards to view your progress on each individual card.
