Mario Kart Tour is a free-to-start game, but it has multiple purchasable items and a monthly subscription known as Gold Pass. If you’re not feeling its value, then here’s how you can cancel Gold Pass in Mario Kart Tour.

How to Cancel Gold Pass in Mario Kart Tour

Gold Pass is a monthly $4.99 subscription that gives you access to the ultra-fast 200cc mode, some gifts, and extra rewards when you complete cups and races. It’s certainly only for the most dedicated fans of the game.

If you’re just feeling that it’s not giving you your money’s worth, then you can cancel the subscription whenever you feel like it. Keep in mind that you can’t get a refund if you’ve already paid for that month.

How to Cancel on iOS

First, you must launch into the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Then, you’ll have to scroll down a bit to open up the App Store settings. Once you’re in the App Store settings menu, tap on your Apple ID.

From here you’ll need to tap on your subscriptions, and if you have the Gold Pass, then it should display the Mario Kart Tour app icon on the list. Tap on the icon, then cancel and you’ll no longer get charged $4.99 each month.

Once you cancel your subscription, then you’ll lose access to 200cc and the other bonuses. However, any extra items you received while using the Gold Pass will remain in your posession. This is also true for Android.

How to Cancel on Android

Ending your subscription is fairly similar on Android with a few different steps. First, you’ll need to launch the Play Store. Then, tap the menu icon in the upper left — the three horizontal lines. Tap subscriptions on the menu.

If you have the Gold Pass, then the Mario Kart Tour icon will appear on this subscriptions list. Tap on it to open the subscription management screen and then hit cancel.

Here’s a quick summary of how to cancel Gold Pass on Android and iOS:

  1. iOS: Settings | Android: Play Store

    These apps can usually be found on your main screen

  2. iOS: App Store Settings | Android: Menu

    On iOS you might need to scroll down a bit, and Android’s menu button is in the upper left of the Play Store start screen

  3. iOS: View Apple ID then Subscriptions | Android: Subscriptions

    This will show you all of your subscriptions that you have on your devices

  4. Both: Tap Mario Kart Tour icon, then cancel

    You are now free from the shackles of the Gold Pass
