How to Sprint in Mafia III

Recommended Videos

As Lincoln Clay, you’re going to find yourself getting into all sorts of trouble with the police of New Bordeaux. If it’s not the police, it’s the Italian Mafia who are constantly on the hunt to take him down before he gets his revenge on them. While you’ll certainly be making use of your weapons to get out of tough spots, sometimes you’ll just need to get away in a bit of a rush to get to cover. Here’s what you need to know to sprint in Mafia III.

In those circumstances, sprinting is your best option. The game doesn’t actually tell you how to sprint automatically, and instead, you’ve either got to work it out for yourself or go rooting through the menus. That’s why we’re here to provide you with the answer straight away.

To sprint in Mafia III, all you have to do is press down on the left stick (L3). This is the same on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This should set Lincoln off running faster than usual. Simply use your left stick to control where he’s running as you normally would and you’ll be able to seek out cover or get away much faster than before. That’s all there is to it.

Sprinting can be particularly useful if you find yourself overwhelmed with enemies and need to get out in a rush. Just make sure that you don’t just sprint in a straight line, otherwise you’re still a fairly easy target to hit!

That’s all you need to know to sprint in the game. Mafia III is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. For more tips, tricks, and guides to help you on your way through Mafia III, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
