How to QB Slide in Madden 19
Madden 19 returns and with it all of the familiar gameplay questions, such as how to QB slide, and strategy returns with updated rosters and new features to play around with.
Of course Quarterback perspective play is still the primary way of playing Madden 19. Ideally, you’re going to have time in the pocket to check on a couple of open receivers and throw a good pass to someone down the field.
Or, if that’s not the plan, you can always hand the ball off to a Running Back to get a few more yards. However, things don’t always go according to plan, especially if you’re getting blitzed. Sometimes as a Quarterback you need to throw out whatever plan you had, tuck the ball in and just run for it.
On the other hand, if you’re Lamar Jackson, that might have been the plan from the start. Quarterbacks don’t take hits well, so to avoid a tackle, here’s how to QB slide in Madden 19.
To QB slide in Madden 19, you first want to scramble, otherwise you’re going to just be sidestepping around the pocket. Hold R2 on PS4 or RT if you’re on Xbox One to start a scramble.
After that, at any point beyond or before the line of scrimmage, tap Square on PS4, or X if you’re on Xbox One to lay down on slide. Note, that you don’t want to be pressing those buttons hard, you just want to give them a light tap. Sliding in Madden 19 is super important because if you don’t, and you take the hit normally, QBs have a much higher chance of getting hurt or fumbling that way.
