Lost Ark does a great job of making players feel powerful, regardless of which class or advanced class you pick. However, not every class is created equal when it comes to mobility options and their ability to dodge out of the way when an enemy charges towards them.

Dodging and Evading Attacks in Lost Ark

First off, in order to perform a quick dodge or evade, you simply need to press the spacebar. Your character will then dodge towards the direction of your cursor, so make sure you aim it in the direction you want to go towards and always be aware of where it is on your screen.

You can’t simply spam spacebar to keep dodging either, as there’s a cooldown period associated with it. Depending on the class you choose, your dodge cooldown period can range anywhere from six to 10 seconds. For instance, the Sharpshooter’s cooldown is around nine seconds, while the Assassin only has a six second cooldown. The Soulfist is somewhere in the middle with an eight second cooldown period.

It’s important to keep in mind that every class is viable in Lost Ark, so unless you really want a good mobility build, you don’t really have to worry too much about the dodge cooldown. Most enemy attacks are properly telegraphed, and you’ll always have ample time to evade out of the way as long as you aren’t spamming it incessantly.
