With a number of QoL improvements, an all-new button control scheme, and refined motion controls, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD feels like a far more polished experience than its original release on the Nintendo Wii. While all of these changes allow for a drastically different feeling experience, the core story and premise remain the same. Whether you’ve seen it all before, or you’re just not all that interested in Link’s adventure, you may be wondering how to skip cutscenes and dialogue in Skyward Sword HD.

If this is your first time playing Skyward Sword, we’d recommend that you don’t skip through any cutscenes or dialogue, as this is often where you’ll get most of the details of the game’s story. Skipping Cutscenes

To skip cutscenes in Skyward Sword HD, simply press the – (minus) button on your left Joy-Con or on your Pro Controller.

This will cause the cutscene to end and the game will then put you back in control of the action.

Skipping Dialogue in Skyward Sword HD

If you’re looking to just skip the dialogue in a conversation Link is having, simply press B during it. This will cause the text on-screen to speed up and skip onto the next line.

Repeatedly tap B during dialogue to skip through it.
