What We Know So Far About The Last of Us Part II Release Date

The Last of Us Part II is the next game courtesy of the talented folk over at Naughty Dog that’s hitting our PS4s. This time, players will assume control of Ellie, as they take on the hostile world and uncover more of her background along the way. Of course, with this arguably being one of the biggest exclusives still to hit the PS4, you’re probably wondering what the release date is for The Last of Us Part II.

Currently, Naughty Dog hasn’t revealed a set release date for The Last of Us Part II, but that doesn’t mean we can’t predict one. First off, it’s worth looking back at its predecessor, and when that released in relation to the PS3’s lifecycle. The Last of Us’ release date was mere months before the PS4 hit store shelves, acting as a swansong of sorts for Sony’s third home system. We did see a remaster of the game release on PS4 within its first year, too, so chances are, we could see a similar situation with The Last of Us Part II.

With the PS4 having been out for nearly five years now, chances are we’ll see the PS5 in the next few years. As such, we’re putting The Last of Us Part II down for a late 2019, or 2020 release date on PS4. Chances are, we’ll get a release date either way at E3 2019.

That’s all we have for you so far regarding a release date for The Last of Us Part II. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
