Which Mirrors You Should Choose at the Start of Kingdom Hearts 3

Recommended Videos

At the very beginning of your adventure in Kingdom Hearts 3, you’ll take control of Sora and will have to choose from a bunch of different mirrors. They have vague descriptions and even vaguer imagery, but these are actually an important part of your adventure. Here’s which mirrors you should choose at the start of Kingdom Hearts 3.

These mirrors are essentially choices you’re making in order to fine-tune your Sora for your adventure. If you pick one over the other, you may have slightly different stats or will be able to learn different moves compared to if you pick another.

To help you determine exactly which is best for you, we’ve broken down all of the different stats you’ll be attributed and sets of abilities dependent on the mirrors you choose at the start of Kingdom Hearts 3.

First Set of Mirrors

The first set of mirrors in Kingdom Hearts 3 will ultimately affect Sora’s starting stats. It’s worth noting, though, that while Sora has Attack, Magic, Absorbs, HP, MP, and AP stats, it’s only the HP and MP stats that these mirrors will affect. We’ve broken down these changes down below.

  • Left (Wisdom) – By choosing this mirror, Sora will start with 120 MP and 90 HP. It essentially increases Sora’s MP for those who want to focus on using a ton of magic and spells on their adventure.
  • Middle (Vitality) – The middle of the three mirrors in Kingdom Hearts 3’s first set is for those that favor HP over MP. Sora will begin with 120 HP and 100 MP.
  • Right (Balance) – As you may have guessed from the name of the third mirror, this one simply balances HP and MP out. Sora’s HP will start at 105 and MP at 110.

Second Set of Mirrors

The changes made by your choice on the second set of mirrors in Kingdom Hearts 3 is a little more noticeable. Depending on the mirror you choose, you’ll essentially prioritize learning some abilities that benefit a particular playstyle earlier than others.

For example, the left mirror (Power of the Guardian) tends to offer up defense-based skills first and is more of a balanced set. The middle mirror (Power of the Warrior), meanwhile, focuses more on dealing damage with melee attacks, while the final mirror is all about magic attacks.

Down below, you’ll find lists of the order that Sora will learn abilities depending on the mirror you choose from the second set in Kingdom Hearts 3.

It’s worth noting here, though, that ultimately, you’re still going to learn all of the same abilities regardless of what mirrors your choose at the start of Kingdom Hearts 3. It simply reorders them to try and give you a bit of a boost for your particular playstyle.

Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to determine whether there are any additional changes to the abilities you can learn in Kingdom Hearts 3 or the order in which you learn them beyond level 20. We’ll update this post as and when we know for sure.

TLDR;

Question: Which mirrors should you choose at the start of Kingdom Hearts 3?

Answer: The first set of mirrors determines base stats, with the right offering balanced HP and MP values, the left offering raised MP values at the expense of HP, and the middle offering raised HP at the expense of MP. The second set determines the order Sora will learn abilities in Kingdom Hearts 3. Check our post for a full breakdown.
