How to Get Epona in Kingdom Come Deliverance

Recommended Videos

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a huge open world RPG. Like any other game in its genre, there is a ton of interesting things to discover. Although the game is heavily rooted in realism, perhaps more so than any other game in recent memory, there are also some fun light-hearted things to be found as well.

Case in point: Epona, the classic horse from The Legend of Zelda, can be found and mounted in Kingdom Come Deliverance. Cool right?! Totally unexpected, but appreciated nonetheless. Here’s how you can get Epona for yourself in-game.

Luckily, it’s not too difficult. First, you must travel to the town of Neuhof and visit their stables. There, you’ll find the stable owner NPC vendor. She sells a variety of different horses that you can sell, but of course the one that’s going to catch your eye above all is Epona. Inquire about the horse and the vendor will tell you that she’s a good horse but “she won’t listen to anything but a pipe or a flute.” That is, of course, a reference to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. Don’t worry about that though, you can still purchase Epona anyway.

Just go ahead and buy Epona like you would any other horse and bam, she’s all yours. Keep in mind, despite being legendary in the Zelda series, Epona is more or a less a pretty normal horse in Kingdom Come Deliverance. Some would say she’s less than average, even. Still though, it’s a neat Easter egg, and if you’re really into The Legend of Zelda, go ahead and grab her anyway and head-canon her into existence in the world of Kingdom Come Deliverance.

That’s it for how to get Epona in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Be sure to search Twinfinite for more guides, and FAQ answers.
