Five years on from its 2015 launch, The Witcher 3 is fondly remembered as one of the greatest games ever made. It’s still widely played, too, especially in recent weeks following the debut of Netflix’s own live-action adaptation. In fact, concurrent player records were broken over on PC via Steam earlier this year. But what about if you’re a console player with hardware from the previous generation? Is The Witcher 3 on Xbox One? Here’s what you need to know.
Is The Witcher 3 on Xbox 360? Here’s Your Answer
The answer is no, quite simply; The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is only available to play on current generation consoles and PC.
In answering this question last year, we’d have probably spent a moment explaining that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s massive, dense open-world and still to this day brilliant graphics would render it far too potent for the Xbox 360.
But now we know that’s probably accurate, given that the game’s Nintendo Switch port has proved it can be made to run on much less powerful hardware.
Of course, it’s a moot point anyway; while the Xbox 360 probably would run a much-downgraded version of the game it hasn’t and likely will never get a release on the console.
If you want to play The Witcher 3, you’ll need to purchase either a PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or gaming PC/laptop. And with prices for current-generation consoles at an all-time low right now before the release of the PS5/Xbox Series X, you shouldn’t have to fork out too much if you’re wanting a budget way to play the game.
That’s all the information you’ll need to answer whether The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt runs on Xbox 360. Once you’re able to run a copy of the game and need help with additional information and guides, head over to our wiki page for all your The Witcher 3 needs.
