Paladins has been winning fans on every platform that it lands on. The Nintendo Switch is the latest system that the fantasy team-based shooter has arrived on, with guns, magic, and a bunch of different abilities making things particularly interesting. While Paladins is free-to-play on other platforms, some may be wondering if the game is also free on Nintendo Switch.

Well, if you’ve gone to download the game on Nintendo Switch already, you may have noticed that it’ll set you back $29.99. So no, currently, Paladins isn’t free on Nintendo Switch. This is because Hi-Rez Studios has opted to bring the game’s Founder’s Pack to the Nintendo Switch, including all 36 champions currently in the game, all future champions, and some exclusive cosmetic items, too.

If you’re wondering when the game will be free on Nintendo Switch, fear not, you won’t have to wait too long. According to a press release, Hi-Rez Studios is intending to bring a free version of the game sometime this summer.
