Evolving Sneasel into Weavile in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

To evolve Sneasel into Weavile, you need to make it hold the Razor Claw item during the Nighttime.

To do this, open your bag, select the Razor Claw item and then use the ‘Give’ option. Select Sneasel and voila. Now simply play the game during the nighttime hours in your time zone and it’ll be nighttime in the game.

How to Get Razor Claw in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

The easiest way to get a Razor Claw is to purchase it from the Battle Frontier shop. It can be purchased for 5 BP (Battle Points).

Alternatively, you can also get it by heading to Route 224 and using Surf to head south until you reach a small island. On the ground you’ll find a Razor Claw just waiting to be picked up.

Getting Sneasel

Sneasel can be caught in both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl in the following locations:

  • Acuity Lakefront
  • Glacial Cavern
  • Icy Cave
  • Lake Acuity
  • Route 216
  • Route 217
  • Snowpoint Temple
  • Whiteout Cave

We’d recommend using either Great Balls or Ultra Balls to catch Sneasel, as it only has a 7.8% chance of being caught with a regular Poke Ball.
