How to Catch Feebas & Evolve into Milotic in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Feebas may have a feeble appearance, but it’s actually one of the rarest Pokemon you can catch in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. This has made it one of the more desirable Pokemon to catch, and if you’re looking for a powerful and rare Dragon-type to add to your party, you’ll absolutely want to evolve it into Milotic. This is what you need to do to catch Feebas and evolve it into Milotic in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Catching Feebas in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Feebas can only be caught with a Super Rod in one specific tile of water in Mt. Coronet each day. It is not version exclusive, so it can be caught in both Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

The problem is the one tile of water where Feebas spawns changes each day, so we can only guide you to a vague location for it.

To catch Feebas, make sure you’ve got the Surf, Defog, and Strength HMs, as you’ll need them. Once you do, make your way to Mt. Coronet and follow the path north until you reach the Underground Lake.

Use Defog to clear the area so you can see where you’re going and then Surf on the water.

You now need to use your Super Rod on each tile of water up to 4 times. If the Feebas doesn’t spawn within those four attempts, move on to the next tile. Do this for every water tile in the Underground Lake until Feebas appears.

Make sure you take plenty of Great and Ultra Balls to help improve your chances of catching this incredibly rare Water-type Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Evolving Feebas into Milotic in Pokemon BDSP

To evolve Feebas, you must max out its Beauty stat and then level it up.

You can increase a Pokemon’s vanity stats, such as Beauty, by feeding it Dry Poffins.

Poffins can be made at the Poffin House just next to the Pokemon Center in Hearthome City. The type of Poffin you make depends on the berries you use to make it. We’ve listed all Dry Poffin recipes below:

  • Dry: Oran Berry
  • Dry Bitter: Hondew Berry or Passho Berry
  • Dry Sour: Kelpsy Berry or Apicot Berry
  • Dry Spicy: Apicot Berry, Engima Berry
  • Dry Sweet: Micle Berry, Pecha Berry

Once you’ve made any of these, keep feeding them to Feebas until its Beauty stat is maxed out.

Now either give it a Rare Candy or level it up in a Pokemon Battle. Your Feebas will evolve into Milotic in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

We and many others have yet to actually find Prism Scales drop, including at the various fossil sites in the Grand Underground.

Should this change and we discover a way to obtain them, we’ll update this post to let you know and explain how to use it to evolve Feebas into Milotic.
