How to Play Co-Op Multiplayer in Harvest Moon Light of Hope

Recommended Videos

The latest entry in the long-running farming series, Harvest Moon, has arrived in the form of Light of Hope. Once again, players will tend to livestock, crops, go fishing, and engage in all manner of other bits of fun around the town. The farm life can get a little lonely, though, and as such you may be wondering if Harvest Moon: Light of Hope has any co-op multiplayer functionality so you can build your farm up together.

Unfortunately, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope does not have co-op multiplayer on PC. In fact, even more disappointing, there’s no multiplayer option to pluck turnips and plant tomatoes with your friends whatsoever in this version of the game. While it’s always possible that these features can be added in at a later date (Stardew Valley is currently doing exactly that), there’s been no announcement from Natsume regarding whether or not fans can expect this any time in the near future.

There is, however, co-op multiplayer on the PS4 and Switch versions, dubbed the Special Edition of Light of Hope. In order to play co-op multiplayer with a friend in this version of the game, you’ll need to play through the game a little bit. Once you’ve progressed enough in the story, you’ll meet a Gem Fairy living in a cave. This is who will become your second playable character, and who your friend will play as in co-op multiplayer. We’re still progressing through the game, so as soon as we’ve got more information for you on how to invite your friends into your game in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.

And that’s all you need to know about it. If you’re looking for anything else on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
