How to Play Firefight – Halo Wars 2
Halo Wars 2 has a huge selection of different multiplayer modes for you to choose from, one of which is Firefight, or the horde mode of the game. This allows you to take on an endless stream of increasingly difficult enemies either by yourself or by teaming up with a friend in co-op.
The option to get to Firefight is a bit buried in the menus actually. At the main menu you’ll want to select the “Blitz” tab. From here, select the “Play” option and you’ll see Firefight over on the right side. After you select it, you’ll then choose between single player and co-op.
In Firefight, you have to hold three areas on a small map, and you can only build units from the cards you have in your hand. To use cards you need to collect Energy, which spawns form places with a purple atom symbol on the map.
Now that you know how to play Firefight, it can be a good way to hone your skills on how Blitz mode works, before jumping in and going head-to-head with other players. Make sure you also take a look at your decks in the Blitz menu, so you can customize them to you liking.
