Ransom Keep is the first of the Banished’s bases that you’ll likely be tasked with taking down in Halo Infinite’s campaign. It’s right near your proper starting point of the open-world section on Zeta Halo, and there, you’ll need to take down some energy silos and sabotage some vehicle repair bays. The problem is, two of the vehicle repair bays are behind an orange energy shield, and there’s no other way to get inside. Here’s what you need to do to open the Ransom Keep vehicle repair bay energy shield door in Halo Infinite.
Opening the Ransom Keep Vehicle Repair Bay Door in Halo Infinite
To reach the two Ransom Keep vehicle repair bays, we need to disable the orange energy shield. By pressing down on the d-pad when stood near it, you’ll reveal its connected to a panel just above the energy shield itself. You need to go inside the connecting building to see it, shown in the screenshot below.
Now, use your grapple hook to get up to the panel above the energy shield door, and then shoot at it with any weapon or use grenades if you’re trying to conserve ammo. You just need to deal enough damage to the generator to blow it up.
Once you do, the energy shield door to the Ransom Keep vehicle repair bays will be disabled, allowing you to walk on through destroy the base once and for all.
Destroying Vehicle Repair Bays
Once you’re inside, press down on the d-pad and two terminals will flash yellow next to two vehicles on the repair bays.
Press and hold X when stood next to these and Chief will rip the insides of the vehicle bays out, destroying them so the Banished can no longer use them for their evil schemes.
