Guardians of the Galaxy: How to Change Difficulty

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has just released courtesy of Eidos Montreal and publisher Square Enix. This time around, players control Star-Lord as he and bunch of misfit heroes fly about the galaxy completing quests (trying) to save the day. In this guide, we’ll be talking you through Guardians of the Galaxy’s difficulty settings, as there’s a whole bunch of options to fine-tune the experience to your skill level.

First off, when you start a new game, you’ll have the option to choose from one of four difficulty options, these are:

  • We Got This (Easy)
  • We Got This… Probably (Normal)
  • We Don’t Got This! (Hard)
  • We Do It Our Way (Very Hard)

Each of these settings tweaks a plethora of different options for the game’s combat sections which can also be fine-tuned to your liking. So, for example, if you want your Shield Regeneration to be a little faster, you can adjust that, while keeping all of the other difficulty options for ‘We Got This… Probably’ the same.

Changing Difficulty in Guardians of the Galaxy

If at any point you want to change difficulty in Guardians of the Galaxy, press the Options button on PlayStation, the Menu button on Xbox or Esc on PC and select the ‘Difficulty’ option from the pause screen.
