What the Install Size Is for God of War

For its debut on PS4, God of War has a completely new look. But the changes go far beyond just its aesthetic and camera angle. Most notably, it’s a much more story-driven experience this time around, brought to life by a colorful cast of characters and dialogue. Kratos’ personality goes way beyond merely shouting angrily, and there’s a deeper meaning to his plight than mere revenge. In combination with a host of role-playing mechanics, tough enemy encounters, and a more expansive level design, God of War is a substantially larger package than any previous game in the series, and that may have some fans wondering exactly what the install size will be.

God of War’s install size is a whopping 44.443GB. And for an optimized first-party PS4 game, that’s pretty sizable, indeed. For comparison, The Witcher 3 was roughly 50GB on PS4 (not including any subsequent DLC). That doesn’t, of course, mean that you should expect a game with anywhere near the amount of content as CD Projekt RED’s acclaimed RPG, but it should give you some idea of just how serious the team at Sony Santa Monica are when they say that this latest God of War is one big game.

That’s all the information we have on what the install size for God of War is. For more useful information on the game, be sure to check out our wiki page.
