Not only have we got Overtime challenges to be grinding out, there’s also a free Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass up for grabs. Here’s what you need to know to get one.

How to Get the Free Season 8 Battle Pass

There’s not a whole lot you need to know to nab yourself the free Battle Pass for next season. All it requires is taking part in and completing the Overtime challenges that just went live in Fortnite.

Specifically, you need to complete 13 Overtime challenges to get the free Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass. That means you can save yourself 950 V-Bucks in a couple weeks time for just playing the game and completing some pretty simple challenges.

How to Complete Overtime Challenges in Fortnite

Down below, we’ll be listing all of the challenges, and linking to quick and easy guides on how to beat some of the trickier ones. We’ll be keeping this updated as the challenges unlock, as these are gradually releasing between now and the end of Fortnite Season 7.

• Collect Coins in Featured Creative Islands (15)
• Dead Damage to Opponents with Assault Rifles of Pistols (500)
• Search chests or ammo boxes at a motel or an RV Park (7)
• Place Top 15 in Duos with a Friend (3)
• Regain Health from a Campfire in Different Matches (3)

It’s worth noting that there are 20 Overtime challenges, but you only need to complete 13 of these to nab yourself the free Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass. As such, pick and choose the easiest ones to grind out, and hopefully some of the simpler ones you’ll just get naturally from playing.

How to Claim Season 8 Battle Pass

Once you’ve completed 13 Overtime challenges in Fortnite, your account will likely be registered on Epic’s servers to receive a free Battle Pass for next season. Then, once the new season commences, you’ll simply need to log-in and you’ll be gifted 100 Tiers of cosmetic goodness.
