Fortnite: Where to Search XP Drop in Chaos Rising Loading Screen

With the Chaos Rising Mission now out in Fortnite Chapter 2, players can now get themselves a few new skin styles for Sorana, a pickaxe, and a back bling to boot. All of these could be found with the clues lurking in the loading screen earned by completing all challenges in this week’s Mission. But wait, there’s more! One Chaos Rising challenge requires players to ‘Search the XP Drop hidden in the Chaos Rising loading screen,’ so let’s guide you through it.

Searching for the XP Drop in Fortnite Chapter 2

The XP Drop location is hinted at by the screen almost right in the center of the loading screen, just to the right of the silhouette. It shows a certain purple cube, or at least a statue of it. That’s right, Kevin the Cube will never die! Anyway, you’re going to want to track him down on the map.

While Kevin hasn’t actually returned in all his glory, the purple cube you’re looking for can be found at Steam Stacks in the northeast corner of the map.

Steamy Stacks spans over two different grid blocks, G2 and H2. For the XP Drop, you’re going to want to head to the center of G2, marked on our map below.

Land in the car park and you’ll spot the cube statue. The XP Drop will be right next to it, as shown in the screenshot below.

Walk over to the XP Drop and press and hold X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, Y on Switch, and E on PC to pick it up.
