Where to Search the Treasure Map Signpost in Paradise Palms & Where to Search the X Marked on the Map in Fortnite

One of Fortnite’s week 8 challenges is fairly novel, tasking players with first hunting down a treasure map signpost in Paradise Palms, before returning to it in a following game and figuring out where to search the X marked on the very same map. It’s going to require a fair bit of searching and good knowledge of the map. Fortunately, we’re here to give you a helping hand, so let’s dive right in.

Where the Paradise Palms Treasure Map Signpost Is – I8

The first thing you’re going to want to do (obviously), is make your way to Paradise Palms. This whole named location pretty much takes up the grid coordinate of I8, so you’re going to need slightly more specific directions if you want to track down the treasure map signpost.

Start heading in and look for the central area with the red floor tiles on your map. It’s just south of where the road bends north in the north section of this named location. The treasure map signpost is just on the other side of the brick wall here by the little eSports cafe place. You can get a better idea of where you need to go in our screenshots down below.

Once you’ve landed here, you should be able to spot the signpost standing up against the brick wall. The best way to know you’ve got the right one is by looking for the Battle Star in the top left-hand corner of the map itself. It’ll also make a mysterious noise when you’re nearby, so you’ll know you’re in the right vicinity when you begin hearing this.

And there’s the treasure map. Simply walk on over to it and press and hold X, Y, E, Square to successfully ‘Search’ it. In doing so, you’ll have completed Stage 1 of this Fortnite week 8 challenge, and it’s now time to move onto the next stage.

After finding the treasure map, it’s now a case of revisiting it in another game. You cannot complete stage 2 of this challenge in the same game as the second, so just quickly hop off a high building or something if you’re in a rush.

Land back in the same place and you’ll now find that the signpost now has an X marking a new search location. We’ve figured out where this is and have provided screenshots down below. A quick look at the map should be enough for you to figure it out. The radar tower, in particular, is the dead giveaway. It’s Frosty Flights! The X marks the far west end of the main runway that the hangars lead out to.

Make your way to the very end of the runway to nab yourself the secret star.
