How to Complete All Fortnite Season 8 Week 8 Challenges

Recommended Videos

It’s Thursday again, and that means only one thing for Fortnite fans. A new set of weekly challenges has just dropped, with 50 Battle Stars up for grabs to level up your Battle Pass. If you’re looking to get some tips on how to complete all of these week 8 challenges nice and easily, you’re in the right place. We’ll guide you through each and every one of them down below.

What the Challenges Are

As we always do around here, we’ve included a screenshot of the week 8 challenges from right out of Fortnite. This is so you know that this is the finalized, confirmed list, and not a leaked list that’s incorrect following a last-minute change from Epic. We’re good like that you see.

Fortnite week 8 challenges

From a quick glance, this week’s challenges actually look far more interesting than those we’ve seen in previous weeks like week 6 and week 7. This does mean you’ll have to do a bit more searching around Fortnite’s map, but we’ve got all these locations broken down for you below.

Tips to Complete the Fortnite Week 8 Challenges Fast

Free Pass Challenges

  • Stage 1: Search the Treasure Map Signpost Found in Paradise Palms
    • Stage 2: Search the X on the Treasure Map Signpost in Paradise Palms
  • Use Vending Machines in Different Matches (3)
  • Deal Damage to Opponents While Using at Least One Balloon (100)

Battle Pass Challenges

  • Search Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces Under Bridges and in Caves (7)
  • Stage 1: Dial the Durrr Burger Number on the Big Telephone West of Fatal Fields
    • Stage 2: Dial the Pizza Pit Number on the Big Telephone East of The Block
  • Eliminate Opponents at Dusty Divot or Lucky Landing (7)
  • Eliminate an Opponent from at Least 50m Away

The first of the week 8 challenges is all about tracking down a Treasure Map signpost in Paradise Palms. Following this, you’ll then need to figure out where to search the X on the same treasure map. We’ve got a guide detailing the location of the signpost, as well as where you’ll need to go to search the X right here.

After that you’ll need to use vending machines in three separate matches. You only need to use one each time, and because you no longer have to hand over materials to use one, this is far easier. There’s also a vending machine in almost every named location around the map, so they shouldn’t be too difficult to find.

If you’re having trouble tracking one down, we advise heading to either the west of Lazy Lagoon just on the shore to find one, or head to Lucky Landing, as this is generally a very quiet named location.

The next of the challenges is all about using balloons and dealing damage in the process. There’s going to be an element of RNG at play here, with you having to hope you come across balloons that you can pick up and use. However, once you do, simply equip a weapon and get jumping around. Our top tip to complete this week 8 challenge is to try and get your hands on the Boom Bow.

Not only is it insanely accurate and capable of dealing over 100 damage in a single shot, you’ll feel incredibly badass while you’re doing it. Imagine Lord of the Rings’ Legolas in Fortnite… That’s you!

Then it’s back to another challenge tasking us with searching the map. You’ll need to find seven jigsaw puzzle pieces under bridges and in caves. You can check out our guide on where to find all seven jigsaw puzzle pieces here.

Just as we saw the piano challenges a few seasons back, this time players will need to dial the numbers for Durrr Burger and Pizza Pit on two separate big telephones in different places. We’ve already got these numbers penned down and located the big telephones west of Fatal Fields and east of The Block. Check out our guide here.

The remaining two challenges are fairly straightforward for week 8. Simply eliminate seven opponents at either Dusty Divot or Lucky Landing and eliminate an opponent from at least 50m away. The first is all about landing first and getting a weapon as soon as possible. Gun down any players trying to search chests or landing late for easy eliminations.

As for eliminating an opponent from at least 50m away, this is possible with something like an Assault Rifle, but we’d suggest using a Boom Bow or sniper for added accuracy. In particular, use the Team Rumble LTM to complete this challenge, as you’ll respawn upon dying, and keep your entire inventory. That’ll save you time having to search for one of these weapons each time you’re eliminated in a game and have to start over.

After completing all of these week 8 challenges, you’ll then be able to go and nab yourself the week 8 secret banner, which we’ve detailed the location of right here.

That’s all you need to know to complete the Fortnite week 8 challenges in Season 8. For more tips, tricks, and guides on the Pirate-themed season, be sure to check out our Fortnite Season 8 guide wiki.
