Recommended Videos

Crystal weapons are some of the most powerful you can get in Fortnite. Not only are they tier 4, but they also deal way more damage than their standard counterparts. Of course, crystal weapons do have a slight issue in that their durability is lower than other standard tier 4 weapons. If you feel like the trade-off for more power is worth it, though, then here’s what you need to know to get crystal weapons in Fortnite.

As you make your weapons stronger and stronger through the game’s weapon evolution system, you’ll be required to use different materials in order to make them more powerful. Once you reach tier 4, you’ll have the option of using Shadowshard Crystal in order to obtain a crystal weapon. Others may also use Malachite, which is also used for crystal weapons in Fortnite.

If you’re struggling to get your head around the weapon evolution system, fear not! We have a comprehensive guide to talk you through every complicated and convoluted step of the process. You can check it out here.
