Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 arrives today on all platforms. As is always the case the new seasons will introduce a new Battle Pass, quests to complete, weapons to use, and new locations to visit on the map. If you’re struggling for free hard drive space on your preferred platform, however, you may be wondering just what the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 update size is.
When we refer to the Season 6 update size, we’re specifically talking about the update that players will need to download today (March 16) to move on from Season 5 to Season 6. Other updates will release after this, but this is the update that kicks off Season 6.
What the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Update Size Is
The update for Fortnite Season 6 comes in at the following across each platform:
- PS4: 31.5 GB
- PS5: 5.4 GB
- Xbox: 26 GB
- PC: 15.9 GB
- Nintendo Switch: 12 GB
It’s worth pointing out that over the course of Season 6, there’s a good chance the Fortnite install size could both increase and decrease. These changes can be as a result of adding more content into the game like new weapons and features, or decreased thanks to new compression techniques.
While this remains a possibility, it’s unlikely that the game’s overall install size will change significantly. Any increases or decreases in the file size will normally be fairly minor.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 will bring a number of changes to the map, introduce some new weapons, and of course give players a brand-new Battle Pass to grind their way through, unlocking cosmetics as they go.
